Summary

The Calling of Nature is an Anthology consisted of explored themes of metamorphosis in nature and observed the spring equinox, grounding ourselves in the awareness of the Earth living around us, in the awareness of the astronomical seasons influencing us, and of the elements of nature supporting our human experience. Writing from character prompts, from paintings, illustrations, and theater games, the young authors discovered their characters and their journeys and then set out to finish the story after sharing them in workshops, receiving feedback, and making revisions. I am humbled by their talent, their sincerity, and by their emotional depth and the universal themes in their stories. I personally learned how important it is to give young people the time and space to slow down and listen to their inherent, instinctual connection to their creativity, their honesty, and to their planet.
