At Soar Math Tutoring, we are committed to delivering high-quality, personalized math instruction for students in elementary, middle, and high school. While our services will expand into additional subjects in the future, we are currently focused on providing the strongest possible foundation in mathematics—the subject that underpins success across all areas of study.
Comprehensive Math Tutoring Approach
Our tutoring program covers everything from core skills to advanced problem-solving. Students benefit from:
Core Skill Reinforcement – Building strong foundations in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and calculus.
School Performance Support – Tailored lessons to help students excel in homework, quizzes, and exams.
Competition Preparation – Intensive training for math contests and Olympiads, focused on critical thinking and creativity.
Test Readiness – Targeted instruction for SAT Math, ACT Math, and other standardized exams.
Flexible Learning Methods
Every student learns differently. That’s why Soar Math Tutoring offers two complementary paths:
Guided by Renowned Textbooks – We select trusted, well-known resources that match grade levels and goals, providing a clear, structured path with measurable progress.
Customized to Student Needs – For families preferring a unique approach, we adapt around the student’s pace, school materials, and interests—whether reinforcing classwork or exploring advanced concepts beyond the curriculum.
Personalized & Engaging Experience
Every lesson at Soar Math Tutoring is built around 1:1 interaction. Our tutors:
Explain concepts clearly
Guide students through problem-solving strategies
Show real-world applications of math
Provide interactive practice to build confidence
We emphasize both skill mastery and a growth mindset, helping students see math not as a barrier but as a subject they can truly enjoy and master.

ㅑ have a Ph.D. in Math. I've been teaching math most of my life. My philosophy is that math is best learned as a fun and lighthearted conversation while working on problems. Math is puzzles and puzzles are supposed to be fun. Another thing I push and am good at is enabling and empowering mistakes. Nothing can be learned without mistakes. Mathematicians embrace mistakes as a chance to learn. Embracing fallibility also lowers anxiety and opens up the mind to absorb new ideas. If the students needs to score high on exams, I will spend 30% of our time teaching exam tactics to save time and effort on important exams. BUT scoring high on exams is no substitute for actually learning the mathematics (unfortunately, it's possible to score high on these standardized tests without knowing anything about the underlying mathematics).
