My teaching style is interactive, supportive, and tailored to the needs of middle and high school students who require a strong foundational understanding of mathematics. I create a classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and learning through mistakes. By breaking down complex high school math concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations, I help students gain confidence in subjects like algebra, geometry, and calculus. Through guided questioning and structured practice, I encourage active participation that deepens comprehension and builds long-term retention. I specialize in mathematics from Pre-Algebra through AP Calculus and Statistics, with extensive experience across all levels of the high school curriculum. Whether working 1:1, in small groups, or with larger classes, I emphasize conceptual mastery and practical problem-solving strategies that help students succeed academically. My lessons are personalized to each student’s grade level, learning style, and goals—focusing on true understanding rather than rote memorization. Students who work with me develop not only the skills to solve challenging problems but also the mathematical reasoning and confidence essential for high school success and college preparation. I hold a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from UCLA and have specialized experience tutoring high school math, preparing students for the SAT, and teaching advanced courses such as Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus. My background working with diverse learners enables me to anticipate and address the common challenges students face in secondary mathematics.
