Join us for an engaging Nonfiction STEM Book Club Class exploring the fascinating world of robots through age-appropriate National Geographic texts.
Book List:
Robots: Level 3 (National Geographic Readers) by Melissa Stewart - Books need to be purchased separately - We don't provide the books
* Students who complete the session may qualify for Admission Test Wavier for our Regular classes. (Limited to 50 students ONLY)
In this interactive session, students will read and analyze key parts of the book, identify important facts, and share their ideas with classmates through guided discussion.
This class gives families a preview of our Book Debate Club experience.

No prior class experience is required.
This session is ideal for students who enjoy science topics, nonfiction reading, and group discussion.

Hello Soar Kidz! My name is Teacher Melissa, and I’m beyond excited to read with you! I started my teaching journey as a middle school teacher and later earned my Master’s Degree in Education with a certification in School Counseling. After 30 wonderful years in education, I'm here to share my passion for reading with all of you! Creating a safe and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas is very important to me. Together, we'll learn and grow as a community. One of my absolute favorite books is Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It's a beautiful story about a 10-year-old boy trying to navigate middle school, all while looking different than his peers. It's a great lesson on empathy, acceptance and understanding what is really important in life. I can't wait to embark on this reading journey together!
