Description

Hi students, I’m Teacher Kate and I am looking forward to getting to know you better! I have been teaching from preschool to second grade. I was a student teacher at a public school for second graders and earlier this year, I taught in my own classroom with Kindergarteners. My teaching style is student-centered! I feel that the best way to learn in a positive and joyful manner is through the interaction of peer connections and collaboration. As a teacher, I am here to guide discussions and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment. The best thing about Bear Book Club is having the ability to question, examine, evaluate, interpret, reason, and reflect on books that we will be reading! One book that I would personally recommend that all learners have a chance to read at some point in their educational journey is The Smart Cookie by Jory John.
