Description
Welcome, Clubbers! My name is Teacher Rose and I’m so happy you’re considering me to be your book club teacher! I’ve been teaching with SOAR KIDZ for more than a year now. In addition to the bookclub, I’m currently homeschooling my two daughters and teaching a middle school literature class at our co-op. In the past I taught Kindergarten at a private school for two years, special education in a public elementary school for five years, and English online with VIPKID for three years. My teaching style is friendly and fun with an emphasis on helping kids connect personally with books and the joy of reading. The best thing about SOAR KIDZ is the kids! Our curriculum provides a framework for kids to learn to articulate their thoughts, ideas, and opinions. I love hearing what they have to say!

Recently we read a book by Shiela Turnage titled “Three Times Lucky.” It’s a fun story about a girl named Mo and a boy named Dale who work together to solve a mystery in their quirky small town. The story is funny, has a memorable cast of characters, and a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. I recommend it!"
